From the Cult of Dusty, our featured video today discusses Atheism which is not the reason for my posting it. It’s the Think for Yourself message delivered by this short video that I find important.
I always taught that you are the one who makes decisions with which you have to live and for which you must take responsibility. So just go ahead.
As Davy Crockett used to say: “Be sure you’re right and then go ahead” which is pretty good advice if you ask me. In other words, you have to think very hard before doing or not doing certain things. Just this past week, I found out the unfortunate consequences of not thinking before writing something which pained others. We are the ones who have to live with the decisions we make while we are on this earth.
Karma’s a real bitch now, isn’t it. One usually gets what one deserves in this life and that’s the way it is, believe it or not … Hindus and others believe that how you conduct yourself in this life even affects you in the after-life.
Parents and family and friends can only shield you from facing yourself in a mirror for so long. Eventually will come a time of reckoning. If you see yourself here, it’s not too late to change. It’s never too late but you have to want to be a different kind of person than you are now.
